SIGNGUY.CC DANA "ZAMPHERE" BURKS · SIGN PRODUCTION × SOFTWARE

PROOF FOR CUSTOMER APPROVAL · SIGNGUY.CC

A sign guy who codes.

Not a coder who found signs.

Production Manager at a working Signarama by day. Builder of the tools this trade should have had twenty years ago, the rest of the time.

THE STORY

I was a TRS-80 kid who went into signs instead of software. Twenty-five years in production teaches you things no bootcamp covers: babysitting a wide-format run at five in the morning, eating a quote you priced wrong, trusting a stock count that was off by a full roll of vinyl with the job already on the table. These days I run production at a working Signarama, and I kept hitting the same broken tools every shop hits. So I went back to the code and started fixing them.

THE WORK ORDER

Three tools. Each one started as a problem that cost me money.

LINE 01 · INVENTORY

Lynventory

Inventory that doesn't lie to you.

THE SCAR

You ordered against the count. The count was wrong. Now the job is on the machine and the material is not on the shelf.

THE FIX

Ground-truth stock and reorder logic built around how a sign shop actually burns through material. Not a warehouse system wearing a sign shop costume.

LINE 02 · QUOTES

Wysper

Know why you win and lose.

THE SCAR

A good quote walked last month and nobody in the shop could say why. It wasn't the first one.

THE FIX

A quote ledger with per-rep and per-quote conversion math. Close rate, win and loss reasons, ROI with proof instead of gut feel.

LINE 03 · MOCKUPS

signsho

Close it before you cut it.

THE SCAR

The customer can't picture the sign on their building, so they stall. And stall. The job dies in "let me think about it."

THE FIX

Upload a photo of the building and your 2D artwork, circle where the sign goes, and get a perspective-correct mockup in seconds. Drag the squeegee and see for yourself.

WHAT I BELIEVE ABOUT SIGN SHOP SOFTWARE

  • Most sign software is built by people who have never run a job.
  • Inventory should be ground truth, not a guess.
  • You shouldn't need a data-science degree to know your close rate.
  • Software should fit how a shop works. Not the other way around.

CUSTOMER ZERO

These tools run every day at Signarama Redmond, a working shop owned by a retired Microsoft senior executive. He had his pick of software and chose this.
